Fire hose reels should be located close to potential fire hazards, such as plant machinery, electrical rooms, and storage areas. Fire hose reels should be accessible to occupants and not obstructed by furniture or other objects.
What is the clearance around a fire hose cabinet?
The cabinet (excluding the door) must always maintain a clearance of 2" between the hose connection and any part of the cabinet. The contents of cabinets must be clearly identified, and cabinets may only store fire equipment.
