Our hose vulcaniser is for the repair of layflat delivery hoses with external patches. Suitable for uncoated, PU-coated and covered fire hoses the automatic temperature control prevents overheating. The movable support gives a uniform pressure during the vulcanisation process.

How long does fire hose last?
Fire hoses can have a useful life of 10–20 years if they are maintained in accordance with the instructions. Fire hoses are subject to wear and tear over time, but with good care, they can still perform at their full potential for an extended period of time.
How do you dry out a fire hose?
For hoses without protective exteriors, dry them on a towel or rack. If you are using a commercial hose dryer, be sure that the inside of the hose drains completely. It is not recommended to dry your hose under hot sunlight or on hot pavements as it will weaken the hose.
Can an expandable hose be repaired?
Regular hose repair kits and hose vulcanisers work well for minor repairs on expandable garden hoses. In the case of major issues or extensive damage, it is recommended that the entire section be replaced.
